Kaspa(KAS) was created in 2021 and uses a BlockDAG structure instead of a traditional blockchain.
In a BlockDAG, multiple blocks can be created at the same time, and all of them can be accepted by the network. This greatly reduces the number of orphan blocks (blocks that are rejected because another competing block was accepted first).
This design allows very fast block times without compromising security or decentralization.
