Dogecoin(DOGE) was created in 2013 and is considered the first memecoin. It uses the Scrypt algorithm and supports merge mining with Litecoin.
In practice, the hashrate used to mine Litecoin can also be reused for Dogecoin, allowing both networks to be mined at the same time without additional energy costs. This process works only in this direction (from LTC to DOGE, not vice versa).
